Competition 2026 — Open

EV & Autonomous Driving Competition

Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving Systems and Intelligence Competition 2026
The EV and Autonomous Driving Competition 2026 will be conducted as a Static Engineering Exhibition. Vehicles will not be judged on a dynamic driving track. Instead, teams will pitch their vehicle’s design, software architecture, and build quality directly to a panel of expert judges.

1.1 Event Schedule

Day Timeline

07:30

Technical Inspection

Scrutineering begins. Vehicles must be present at the exhibition hall.

09:00

Judging Rounds Begin

Teams start their allocated 1-hour judging windows.

1.2 Judging Slots

1-Hour Per Team

  • Team Pitch (20 mins) — Present system architecture, digital twin, and mechanical design
  • Physical Inspection (20 mins) — Judges inspect fabrication, wiring, and safety systems
  • Q&A (20 mins) — Technical questions from the judging panel

1.3 Judging Panel

Expert Evaluation

  • Distinguished academics and leading industry experts
  • Combined expertise ensures a fair, rigorous and professional evaluation
  • Judges assess engineering capabilities, software architecture, and overall build quality
To ensure fairness and maintain the spirit of a real-world engineering challenge, all vehicles must adhere strictly to the following physical limits.

2.1 Chassis Dimensions

Physical Limits

Max Length

300 cm

Max Width

160 cm

Max Height

250 cm

Min. Seats

1 seat

Safety Belt

Min. 1 belt

2.2 Powertrain Constraints

Electrical Limits

System Voltage

Max 48V DC

Motor Power

Max 5 kW peak

2.3 Mandatory Safety Systems

Required — No Exceptions

  • Physical E-Stop — Red emergency stop button inside the cockpit
  • Wireless E-Stop — Remote kill switch architecture must be demonstrated
  • Mechanical Fail-Safe — Braking system capable of stopping vehicle if power is cut
The judging panel will evaluate vehicles across five core engineering disciplines.

Mechanical Design & In-House Fabrication

25 pts

Judges evaluate the mechanical robustness and level of custom manufacturing used rather than off-the-shelf parts.

25 pts

Tier 1 – High Importance

Exceptional custom fabrication of main Chassis Frame, Suspension Arms, or Steering Rack

15 pts

Tier 2 – Medium Importance

Good custom fabrication of auxiliary parts: Battery Boxes, Sensor Mounts, or Brake Brackets

5 pts

Tier 3 – Low Importance

Basic fabrication: Body Panels, Dashboards, or Cosmetic parts

B

Autonomous Architecture & AI Features

25 pts

Teams must demonstrate vehicle intelligence through theoretical explanation and code review.

25 pts

Full Score

Comprehensive AI/Computer Vision integration, clear sensor fusion strategy and path-planning algorithms

10 pts

Partial

Basic autonomous logic: standard PID control, single-sensor reliance

0 pts

None

No clear autonomous architecture or inability to explain the code
